Holy Hell! Just one more week after this guys. Are you as excited as I am? I've already got my costume picked out for the big day. Can you guess what I'll be? I'll give you a hint, I'm going to wear a pointy hat. I guess it wasn't really that big of a mystery. Anyone else dressing up in their witchiest garb next weekend? Let me know what your costume will be in the comments below! And send pictures! :D
Oh boy, do I have some good ones planned for this week! And just remember, this list is not in order of best or worst, but instead a mash up some classic favorites with the occasional obscure film thrown in to create the perfect playlist for your October. Ready, set, go!

Day 12: Burn, Witch Burn (1962)

Life lesson of this film: let your witchy wife do whatever the hell she wants, and don't mess with her shit. She's only looking out for your general well-being and wants you to be safe. Don't ruin that.
A psychology professor learns that his wife is a practicing witch and forces her to burn all of her magical goodies. Then immediately everything goes to hell. Typical sixties male ego.

Day 13: Bed-knobs and Broomsticks (1971)

Disney knocked it out of the park with this one. Witchcraft, animation, and it's a musical?! Please let me live in this world! Angela Lansbury is a dream, and I think I speak for all of us when I say that we would love for her to begrudgingly watch over us.
Miss Eglantine Price is a recluse who agrees to watch over the children after they are evacuated from London during The Blitz of 1940. The kids try to run away, like the little shits they are, but then come back when they see her trying to fly. I mean, who wouldn't?! She then leads them on the adventure of a lifetime.

Day 14: Virgin Witch (1958)

It's shoots like this that give photographers a bad name. Haha! The campiness is strong with this one. As is the wonderful sexual overtones.
Two models (and sisters) get lured into a weekend at a grand country house by the promise of a photoshoot. So of course that leads to them being initiated into a coven and volunteered for a virgin sacrifice. Doesn't that happen at every photoshoot you go to?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 15: The Craft (1996)

Iconic. In high school, my friends and I would watch this movie on repeat every time we'd get together. We tried (and failed) to float each other on our fingertips, and never once did we summon an ancient power. Ah well, we gave it our all, and honestly it wasn't a bad try for a couple of teenagers.
Sarah moves from San Francisco *shout out* to LA and forms an unlikely friendship with a group of witches, completing their circle. Together they form a coven and use their powers to go after their deepest wishes. But there's always got to be a bad apple in the bunch.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 16: Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996)

The movie that sparked an entire series! Well, the comic that sparked a movie that then led to a tv series. It was bound to be a hit. Melissa Joan Hart was the girl we all wanted to be, and we got to live the witchy lives of our dreams through her. It was perfection.
Sabrina goes to live with her quirky aunts in Riverdale, then on her 16th birthday finds out she's a witch! She then deals with the struggles of typical teenage drama with the help of her magical powers.

Weekend Binge : Halloweentown Series
Halloweentown (1998) -
Return to Halloweentown (2006)

Okay, I know we've all felt like Marnie right here. We're the losers, the freaks, the weirdos. And no one seems to appreciate all of the wonderfully strange things we find beautiful. Lucky for her, she's got a family of witches that'll come around to respect and enjoy those things with her.
Marnie Cromwell (great name btw) loves Halloween. Like, really loves it. And her Mom is a debbie-downer and refuses to let any of them go out trick-or-treating! But when her grandmother shows up and reveals that Marnie is about to miss out on her chance to become a witch, she takes things into her own hands.
So let your freak flag fly, and remember...
